Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to design, program, and support industrial control systems for our clients. This role involves working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to deliver fully integrated automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Programming:
- Develop and program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) for automated processes.
- Create and configure HMIs and SCADA systems to meet client requirements.
- Integrate and test automation systems, ensuring seamless operation.
Project Support:
- Work with clients to define project specifications and technical requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support during system commissioning and startup.
- Maintain and update system documentation, including wiring diagrams and programming files.
Collaboration & Innovation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Suggest and implement continuous improvements for systems and processes.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience programming PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC).
- Strong understanding of control panel design, wiring, and instrumentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Ignition SCADA.
- Knowledge of robotics and motion control systems.
- Familiarity with the food and beverage, manufacturing, or energy industries.
