Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established protocols and meet all departmental deadlines.
- Pull and stage equipment for outgoing and incoming orders quickly and efficiently.
- Test all equipment, including new and returned items, to ensure functionality.
- Diagnose, log, and repair damaged equipment as necessary.
- Coordinate with vendors for external equipment repairs when required.
- Maintain the department in a clean, organized, and efficient manner.
- Assist and train team members in proper procedures and equipment usage.
- Stay updated on new equipment and learn to operate it when necessary.
- Move gear to appropriate prep or staging areas for shows and events.
- Use a variety of hand tools as part of daily tasks.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working with professional audio equipment; dry-hire experience is a plus.
- 1-2 years of management experience.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to handle demanding workloads.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with rental management software.
- Availability to work late hours, weekends, and during peak seasons or busy weeks.
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities and strong multitasking skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage quick turnarounds.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Familiarity with using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear-moving equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically capable of standing or moving for up to 8 hours daily, with frequent bending, lifting, climbing stairs, and reaching.
