Associate VP, Transportation - Virginia Lead

My client is seeking an exceptional leader with a passion for innovation and excellence in the field to take on the role of Associate Vice President (AVP). This opportunity allows you to build out your own team and practice with the backing of a strong backlog and leadership.
The AVP will be tasked with pivotal responsibilities:
-Lead Virginia Transportation efforts for the State, with full control and internal resources support/Executive support for success
-Oversee the work of Design Engineers and Engineering Technicians in the development and design of various types of highway, bridge and traffic projects, including urban and rural roadways, interstates, interchanges, traffic management, transportation planning, highway safety, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometric layout, MOT, and ADA compliance projects.
-Recruit other qualified individuals
-Pursue new Transportation opportunities in Virginia
Skills required include:
-BSCE (required), MSCE (a plus).
-Professional Engineer (PE)
-10+ years' progressive experience in a combination of transportation design and project management responsibilities.
-Preliminary and Final design experience with VDOT projects, specifications, and guidelines required.
-Demonstrated hands-on experience using MicroStation (preferred), AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
-Demonstrated experience with roadway modeling (Inroads, OpenRoads).
-Demonstrated experience with AASHTO Policy's and Guidelines.
-Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills required.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and work within teams.
