Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager with experience in light industrial projects to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects within deadlines and budgets, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of construction projects.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, change orders, and permit applications.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Quality Control: Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Procurement: Help with the procurement of materials and equipment, negotiating contracts and purchase orders as needed.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on light industrial projects.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or LEED are highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
