We have a current opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager for an upcoming Pumped Hydro development project. The project is based in NSW with members of the team sitting in the Melbourne office. Open to candidates in both locations with potential travel to the site.
Responsibilities:
- Implement detailed project plans whilst managing the competing priorities of budgets, goals, schedules and resources.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents assimilating information about technical, administration, HSE and commercial.
- Support in overall procurement process in obtaining quotes, liaising with vendors and evaluating proposals with recommendations.
- Assist in contract management activities including review of contracts, negotiating terms and conditions, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Actively engage with consultants to confirm the delivery of scope within budget.
- Manage, supervise and coordinate site activities including investigations, surveys and construction of works.
- Develop a detailed technical understanding of the project design (including civil, mechanical and electrical) to facilitate interface management and assist in problem-solving. Where required, provide technical assistance to key stakeholders.
- Communicating regularly with key stakeholders with the project status and providing updates on changes to key milestones.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience within project engineering or project management roles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and capabilities.
- Exposure to large-scale project development within the relevant fields.
- Full working rights in Australia.
