A highly reputable Architecture firm in the Midwest is on the lookout for an experienced Design Manager to join their Data Center Architecture team! We're seeking someone who can balance architectural design and production skills with business development and client leadership. What You'll Do:
- Create detailed architectural and engineering plans for large data center projects, covering everything from design and permits to construction documents.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality.
- Lead and coordinate execution teams across various disciplines.
- Identify and address key client interests for moderately complex projects.
- Support business development efforts.
- Lead large, multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical leadership for complex data center projects.
- Ensure solutions meet project goals.
- Guide on design standards, codes, and company policies.
- Review architectural and engineering work.
- Mentor and manage the performance of your team.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 8 years of experience in data center design.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Rhino is a plus.
- Active Architectural Registration in your state; NCARB preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of design principles, building codes, and construction methods.
- LEED Certification or knowledge in Building Sustainability is a bonus.
