Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Riverside, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
- Design and develop filtration and water treatment equipment to meet specific customer and industry requirements.
- Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Production, Quality, etc.) to ensure designs are aligned with project objectives, cost targets, and manufacturability.
Engineering Analysis
- Perform engineering analyses, including stress and fluid flow calculations, to validate and optimize designs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve design, production, or performance issues.
Project Management
- Lead or participate in project planning, including estimating project costs and timelines.
- Monitor project progress to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.
- Identify potential risks, propose mitigation strategies, and keep stakeholders informed of project status.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare technical documents such as bills of materials (BOMs), design reports, and test procedures.
- Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM) and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized records of design revisions and engineering change orders.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods to continuously enhance product performance and reliability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in design, testing, and production workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the filtration, water treatment, or similar industry.
- Proven track record in product design, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with fluid mechanics, piping systems, and pressure vessel design.
- Experience with FEA or CFD software is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
