Position: Senior or Principal Air Quality Engineer/Scientist
Location: Western U.S.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $200,000, based on experience
We are looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to join our team. This role involves managing and executing projects related to air quality permitting, compliance, and dispersion modeling, with a focus on environmental and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will be based in the Western U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee large and complex air quality projects.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Client Relations: Manage and develop key client relationships.
- Regulatory Analysis: Interpret and apply environmental regulations.
- Industry Participation: Represent the company at relevant meetings and conventions.
- Expert Witness: Provide testimony in administrative or court hearings.
- Quality Assurance: Review work products prepared by staff.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Required Qualifications:
- 12-20 years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven track record in business development.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations.
- Experience mentoring and training staff.
- Proficient in time and project management.
- Ability to manage client and regulator relationships effectively.
- Collaborative and professional work style.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of direct people management experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in project scoping and proposal preparation.
- Experience with air quality dispersion modeling using regulatory models.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) license, with a goal of obtaining a PE license.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
