Structural Substation Engineer (EIT or PE)
Our client is a smaller to mid-size employee owned engineering firm responsible for delivering electrical, civil, and structural engineering services to the power delivery & renewable energy sector. Having catered to the electric utility world for the past 60+ years, they are proud to serve clients including but not limited to investor owned utilities, electrical cooperative & municipalities, developers and landowners.
We currently have an exciting opening for a self-motivated structural engineer that is interested in applying their steel design skills to the power utility world. This is a fantastic opportunity for any engineers looking to join an "employee first" culture with a collaborative team of other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals.
Preferred candidates will be based in CST or EST where our teams are currently based. If you are interested in relocation opportunities, we also have several offices that this position can be based locally for.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience (preferably with substation steel experience).
- Four year engineering degree in structural engineering or related degree (mechanical, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of US based structural engineering project experience.
- Solid understanding of building codes, steel design, foundation designs. etc.
- Experience with STAAD, RISA 3D, LPILE, or several other applicable softwares.
- PE Licensed is a huge plus.
