LVI Associates are representing a prominent structural engineering firm with offices in Canada, the US, UK, and UAE in their search for a highly experienced and licensed Structural Engineer to join their Sacramento office. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering and hold a valid SE license. This role involves leading complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of structural integrity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Design and Analysis: Perform advanced structural design and analysis for a variety of structures including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the preparation and review of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our engineering processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Licensure: Valid PE (Professional Engineer) license.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RISA), AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
