About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leading firm in the engineering industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their team in Prince George's County, MD. In this role, you will take the lead on complex water resources projects, from design through construction, ensuring the development of efficient and sustainable solutions for stormwater management, stream restoration, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for water resources projects.

  • Design stormwater management systems, stream restorations, and dam improvements.

  • Manage the preparation and approval of construction documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Coordinate and manage client communications throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Supervise and guide a team, including engineering/CAD technicians, surveyors, and sub-consultants.

  • Provide construction observation and documentation, ensuring adherence to design specifications.

  • Manage all phases of water resources projects, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, permitting, and construction management.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland PE license within 3 months of hire.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in water resources engineering, with a solid understanding of stormwater management, stream restoration, and dam improvements.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project for project management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and oversee teams.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of permitting processes in Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties, as well as state-level agencies like MDE and SHA.

  • Familiarity with ArcGIS for project design and analysis.

  • Prince George's County residents are strongly preferred due to familiarity with local projects and regulations.
