Salary: $110,000 - $160,000
About the Firm: My client is a leading consulting firm specializing in mechanical and electrical design services. With over 70 years of experience, they have established a reputation for delivering innovative and reliable solutions for data centers, airports, and other critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical engineering and design efforts for data centers, airports, aerospace, and other industrial/commercial projects
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and design expertise in HVAC systems, including the selection of HVAC equipment for building applications, central HVAC plant systems, plumbing and sprinkler fire protection systems, and fire suppression systems such as AFFF and dry chemical
- Apply local and national building codes, safety codes, industry standards, and International Building Codes, including those for building, mechanical, plumbing, fire, and fuel gas
- Mentor and train mechanical staff
- Delegate design tasks to project engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD staff efficiently
- Serve as a key technical and project-procedures information resource
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Typically requires 10-15 years of verified professional experience in relevant fields
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or Architect
- Willing and able to obtain professional engineering licensure in multiple states
- Extensive experience and proficiency in managing engineering projects through all development phases
- Availability for occasional travel
- Ability to pass background checks, security screenings, or drug tests as required by clients or Federal contracts
- Authorized to work in the United States
