Job Title: National Business Development Manager - Valves (Wastewater Sector)

With a strong reputation for innovation and technical expertise, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead national sales efforts.

Role Overview: As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing key accounts across Australia. This is an individual contributor role, focusing on expanding the market presence of specialised valves within the wastewater sector. You will engage with municipal and industrial clients, providing technical expertise and tailored solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth across Australia.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the wastewater industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, procurement managers, and decision-makers.
  • Provide technical guidance on specialised valve solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals and post-sales support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the valve industry or related sectors (wastewater, industrial, or process equipment).
  • Strong technical knowledge of valves and their applications in wastewater treatment.
  • Established network within the wastewater sector is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage the entire sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
  • Engineering or technical background is a plus but not mandatory.
