Manager, Community Relations - Low Carbon
My client, a leader in clean energy, is seeking a Community Relations Manager for their Low Carbon Generation division in the Greater Boston area. This role, reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, will focus on community outreach and stakeholder engagement for energy projects across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies for projects in all stages.
* Coordinate charitable donation plans with development and asset management teams.
* Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., local governments, community groups, business leaders).
* Work with the Low Carbon team to address stakeholder concerns and mitigate risks.
* Create communications materials (e.g., presentations, FAQs, digital content).
* Manage public relations firms to ensure consistent outreach and messaging.
* Lead and attend community events and support corporate communications efforts as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in community relations or public outreach.
* Bachelor's degree (preferred in Communications, Public Policy, or related field).
* At least five years of experience in energy-related communications or large infrastructure projects.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to travel 30-40%.
* Must pass a background and credit check.
