Job Title: Healthcare Architect
Location: Baltimore, MD

Overview:
A leading architecture and design firm in Baltimore is seeking a talented Healthcare Architect to lead and support the design and execution of healthcare projects across a range of scales and typologies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare design, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for creating spaces that enhance patient care, staff efficiency, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and documentation of healthcare projects from concept through construction administration.

  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop innovative, code-compliant healthcare environments.

  • Translate complex clinical requirements into functional, user-centered design solutions.

  • Participate in programming, space planning, and master planning activities.

  • Ensure projects adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., FGI, ADA, NFPA).

  • Oversee production of design and construction documents in Revit and other design software.

  • Guide and mentor junior team members throughout the design process.

  • Coordinate with contractors and consultants to support construction and resolve field issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

  • Licensed Architect (preferred, or actively pursuing licensure).

  • 5+ years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio of healthcare projects.

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare design best practices, codes, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Enscape, Rhino, or similar visualization tools is a plus.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and client engagement skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • LEED accreditation or interest in sustainable design is a plus.
