Overview:
A leading architecture and design firm in Baltimore is seeking a talented Healthcare Architect to lead and support the design and execution of healthcare projects across a range of scales and typologies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare design, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for creating spaces that enhance patient care, staff efficiency, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, design, and documentation of healthcare projects from concept through construction administration.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop innovative, code-compliant healthcare environments.
Translate complex clinical requirements into functional, user-centered design solutions.
Participate in programming, space planning, and master planning activities.
Ensure projects adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., FGI, ADA, NFPA).
Oversee production of design and construction documents in Revit and other design software.
Guide and mentor junior team members throughout the design process.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants to support construction and resolve field issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Licensed Architect (preferred, or actively pursuing licensure).
5+ years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio of healthcare projects.
Deep knowledge of healthcare design best practices, codes, and regulations.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Enscape, Rhino, or similar visualization tools is a plus.
Strong communication, leadership, and client engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
LEED accreditation or interest in sustainable design is a plus.
