Healthcare Architect
A highly reputable AEC firm which has been in operation in the Midwest for over 100 years is seeking a talented Healthcare Architect to join their team in either Chicago, or the growing Valparaiso market. This is an immediately available position for candidates who align with the following qualifications, and have interest to perform the listed responsibilities. This is a growth-centric hire which would balance small team leadership, design, and client relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to pre-design, drawing, modeling, and 3D image formatting
- Collaboratively coordinate the design process, contributing to production and technical documentation
- Lead client meetings to establish project scope, and clearly communicate goals to team members
- Manage client relationships with reputation and quality of project delivery at top of mind
- Mentor and assist in the growth of the local Healthcare architecture staff
Qualifications:
- Ideally a minimum of 5-8+ years of working experience
- Familiarity with traditional Healthcare building practices and codes; FGI and ADA requirement knowledge a major plus
- Strong communication skills with an ability to mentor and assist junior contributors in problem solving
- Basic understanding of architectural building systems, buidling and life safety codes, and evolving technologies
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Architectural Registration in Illinois and/or Indiana preferred; NCARB certification a plus
