Electrical/Control Engineer
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Possess extensive knowledge in the design and construction of heavy industrial electrical/control systems.
- Lead technical design efforts and provide direction as needed.
- Exercise independent judgment with minimal oversight from management.
- Oversee electrical and controls design across multiple projects.
- Independently develop engineering drawings and documents.
- Provide technical solutions for complex problems.
- Perform design calculations and utilize computer-aided design tools.
- Actively participate in project meetings as the E/C team leader.
- Collaborate in teams for large, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Conduct fieldwork and observe construction processes.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Travel occasionally within the Kentucky/Tennessee/Illinois/Missouri region.
- Develop proposals, perform material take-offs, and estimate construction costs.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of relevant experience.
- A 4-year BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred.
- Eligible to obtain a Kentucky Professional Engineer license within six months.
- Medium voltage experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and designers.
- Comfort working on job sites, gathering information, and occasionally being near hazardous equipment and machinery.
