Distribution Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Project Manager with experience in low-voltage electrical utility projects (2.4kV to 34.5kV) to oversee the full project lifecycle, from development through construction and closeout. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage project scope, costs, schedules, and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical utility projects, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, and time lines.
  • Manage all aspects of project execution, including siting, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction management, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project cost forecasts, accruals, and schedules.
  • Ensure effective communication between field teams, project offices, and clients.
  • Establish and implement project controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor safety, environmental compliance, procurement, and quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management regarding project status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with electrical utility transmission, distribution lines, or substations.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience, including oversight of construction phases.
  • Strong understanding of substations, telecommunications networks, or transmission lines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to project sites.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
