Project Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the construction of a state-of-the-art data center in Northeast Louisiana. This $10 billion project will be a cornerstone of global data infrastructure, supporting advanced AI workloads and digital technologies. The data center will span 4 million square feet and is expected to create over 5,000 construction jobs at its peak.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse team of contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and adherence to project specifications.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets the highest standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on project progress, budget status, and any issues that may impact the project.
- Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and building codes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
