Automation Project Engineer

Job Title: Control Engineer


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems for automation projects.

  • Program and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA systems.

  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and industrial networks into cohesive control systems.

  • Develop control strategies using PID tuning, motion control, and process automation techniques.

  • Conduct system simulations, testing, and validation to ensure performance, safety, and compliance.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to support system upgrades and troubleshooting.

  • Document system designs, programming logic, and technical specifications for future reference.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industrial automation and control engineering.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in control system design, PLC programming, and industrial automation.

  • Hands-on experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Schneider, or Mitsubishi PLCs.

  • Proficiency in SCADA, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of PID control loops, motion control, and robotics.

  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, control panel design, and safety regulations (NFPA 79, IEC 61131-3, etc.).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Python, C++, or structured text programming for automation systems.

  • Knowledge of machine vision, AI-driven automation, or IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).

  • Understanding of robotic control systems (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, or Yaskawa).

  • Certification in Control Systems Engineering (CSE) or Functional Safety is a plus.
