Architectural Practice Leader
One of the United States' most reputable Architecture & Engineering firms is looking for their next Market Leader; a forward-thinking, well-spoken and connected leader for their Architectural Practice in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of, and proven track record leading projects within, the Education market. Expert level leaders from other project markets may also be considered. Responsibilities:
The candidate will engage in business development activities to identify, develop, win, and execute project opportunities while building and maintaining client relationships. This role involves managing multiple architecture projects at various stages, leading and mentoring team members, and ensuring timely and profitable completion. The projects will primarily focus on K-12 schools and Higher Education, with potential involvement in other markets.
The qualified candidate will consult daily with clients, participate in or lead the design process, guide technical decisions, prepare contract documents, cost estimates, and schedules, and coordinate with reviewing agencies. Additionally, they will oversee bidding and award processes, construction administration, and project closeout coordination. This position offers a tremendous opportunity to be the lead architect for all facets of education-related work in Louisiana.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience, ideally with an emphasis on client interaction and project management
- A self-starter attitude with strong communication skills; ability to lead client or consultant meetings, and communicate project goals and client needs to design teams
- Must have a valid license and be able to perform work-related travel
- Must hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture
- Architectural registration required; NCARB certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge in REVIT also preferred
