Project Manager, Civil Engineer

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Civil Engineer with strong technical and leadership skills to support highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment.

This role offers engineers, geologists, and scientists the opportunity to work on challenging environmental and integrated environmental/geotechnical services projects for a wide range of clients. Projects include general site civil/geotechnical, water resources management, waste management, remediation, and contaminated site management.

Location: Full-time position based in Rochester, NY

UTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage as EOR preparing engineering drawing and technical specifications for Civil works
  • Manage preparation of construction documentation reports as EOR for regulatory agencies
  • Practical experience using AutoCAD and Civil3D for civil drawings
  • Practical experience using stormwater modeling (HydroCAD or similar) and calculations
  • Perform earthwork contouring and volume calculations
  • Prepare engineering cost estimates and bid form preparation
  • NPDES permit applications for stormwater and water treatment designs
  • Correspond with owner and/or contractor(s) during construction to review/approve submittals, request for information, and change orders on civil issues
  • Practical experience with stormwater and wastewater pumping and treatment systems
  • Practical experience with piping, valving, and instrumentation/controls
  • Practical experience in hydraulic piping system modeling (PipeFlo or similar) and calculations
  • Understand and anticipate client needs and is able to develop strong client relationships
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables and regulatory submittals
  • Be effective in assigning and managing work
  • Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Have skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling
  • Have experience in planning and directing environmental field observation and testing programs

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a Professional Engineer licensed in New York State
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science in civil engineering,
  • Minimum of 10 years of environmental and civil engineering experience in New York State.
  • Computer Skills - Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software
  • OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training required
  • Familiarity with earthwork, site/civil, geotechnical, stormwater aspects of residential/commercial/industrial projects is expected
  • Experience in engineering design supporting site-civil and geo-environmental projects associated with site civil development, heavy industry, and waste management. Benefits Package

Compensation

The salary range for this position in Rochester, NY is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including education, related work experience, certifications, skills, and current market conditions. Compensation ranges are reviewed quarterly to remain competitive with the market.
