Position Overview
As an Environmental Project Manager focused on CERCLA Remedial Investigations, you will lead and manage projects related to contaminated site investigations, risk assessments, and remedial strategies. Your experience will help guide the team through all phases of site investigation, from scoping and planning to execution, ensuring all projects meet regulatory compliance and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage CERCLA remedial investigation projects across Alaska, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

  • Plan and execute field investigations, including soil, water, and air sampling, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.

  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and documentation for project deliverables.

  • Oversee environmental site assessments and ensure all remediation efforts comply with federal and state guidelines.

  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients to maintain compliance and foster positive relationships.

  • Mentor junior staff and lead teams through the investigation and remediation process.

  • Stay updated on changes in environmental laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on CERCLA remedial investigations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • In-depth knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, state-specific regulations, and environmental remediation technologies.

  • Proven track record of managing complex environmental projects from inception to completion.

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.

  • Excellent project management and team leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Professional Geologist, etc.) is a plus.
