Account Manager

We have a current opportunity for a Account Manager on a permanent basis with a international renewable energy developer looking to grow in the Japanese Market. The position will be based in Tokyo. For further information about this position please apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of customers and projects.
  • Manage customer accounts to identify opportunities for revenue growth and promote additional products and services.
  • Evaluate potential Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) deals by analyzing requirements and financial viability with the Corporate Development team.
  • Negotiate with partners to achieve optimal business outcomes while protecting the organization's interests.
  • Assist the Business Development (BD) manager in managing deals through all stages, from proposal to customer approval.
  • Ensure quality standards and compliance in the preparation and submission of tender and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with customers and the Project Integration team to align project timelines, including coordinating with the Supply Chain team on procurement and deployment of materials/equipment to maximize business results.
  • Support the BD manager with project needs such as capital planning, funding, project registration, and financing, including internal approval processes like credit information and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience in business development; experience in solar renewable energy is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in financing and fund management.
  • Strong financial awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills, and good research abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver high-quality results.
  • Alignment with values of stewardship, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
