Structural Engineer
Our client, a well-established engineering firm in Bellingham, WA, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, collaborating with architects, contractors, and developers to deliver high-quality structural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design, analysis, and calculations for various building types.
- Develop construction drawings and collaborate with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
- Provide technical support during permitting and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- EIT or PE licensure preferred (or in progress).
- 25 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience with commercial structures, multi-family projects, new construction single-family residences, additions and remodels, outbuildings and shops, reinforced concrete retaining walls, and slab/anchorage for pre-fabricated steel buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software.
- Strong understanding of building materials (wood, concrete, steel) and local building codes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
