A respected and growing NYC-based general contractor is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in exterior restoration and Local Law 11 projects. Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout. Responsibilities:
Manage full project lifecycle for exterior restoration and Local Law 11 jobs, from kickoff to completion.
Coordinate and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met.
Prepare project schedules, track progress, and proactively resolve issues that may impact timeline or budget.
Review drawings, specifications, and Local Law 11 reports to develop scopes of work.
Lead and document project meetings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists.
Monitor subcontractor performance and site safety compliance.
Work closely with estimating and purchasing teams to ensure material procurement and vendor coordination.
Manage all DOB-related filings, permits, inspections, and compliance tasks.
Requirements:
3-5+ years of project management experience in exterior restoration or façade repair.
Deep knowledge of Local Law 11 regulations, NYC DOB codes, and construction safety practices.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a leadership mindset.
Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and restoration scopes.
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple active jobs across NYC.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
Experience working with engineers of record and managing high-rise scaffolding/restoration logistics.
Field background in façade restoration, waterproofing, or roofing a plus.
