Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
Demonstrate expertise in designing and constructing complex industrial electrical and control systems.
Provide leadership and technical guidance in design projects.
Operate with autonomy, making independent decisions with minimal supervision.
Oversee electrical and controls design for multiple concurrent projects.
Independently create detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
Solve intricate technical challenges by developing innovative solutions.
Conduct design calculations and utilize computer-aided design software.
Represent the electrical and controls team in project meetings and serve as the team lead.
Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects within a team-oriented environment.
Excel in a dynamic and fast-paced setting with tight deadlines.
Perform fieldwork, including construction observations and site data collection.
Track and manage project budgets and schedules.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
Travel occasionally within the Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, and Missouri regions.
Prepare proposals, material take-offs, and construction cost estimates.
Qualifications
A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution preferred.
Progress toward obtaining a Kentucky Professional Engineer license within six months is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medium voltage systems is advantageous.
Proficiency in computer-aided design tools, such as AutoCAD.
Strong computer skills, including competence in software like Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and designers.
Capability to work on job sites to gather information, occasionally requiring proximity to hazardous equipment and machinery
