Senior OH/UG Distribution Engineer
A respected engineering firm supporting utilities nationwide with distribution, transmission, and renewable energy projects is looking to expand its distribution team. This client is known for its collaborative, people-first culture, and they are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex overhead and underground distribution projects, mentor junior staff, and manage client relationships. This firm is open to remote candidates or for hybrid-flexible candidates out of the greater Chicago area.
Responsibilities:
Design and oversee power distribution systems (OH/UG).
Ensure compliance with codes and client standards.
Lead teams, manage timelines and budgets, and review design work.
Support proposals and client coordination.
Mentor and develop junior engineers.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (power focus preferred).
PE license required.
8+ years of utility distribution design experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Benefits:
