Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Delivery Manager to oversee our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts in the Water & Wastewater Infrastructure sector. This role offers the opportunity to manage large-scale projects valued at $50M and above, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. The Delivery Manager will play a key role in managing both operational and contractual aspects of O&M contracts, while ensuring that all quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the successful delivery of multiple O&M contracts for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Monitor project performance and KPIs, and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, project managers, and other professionals in the execution of contracts.
Develop and implement strategic plans for the effective operation and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
Oversee risk management strategies, including identifying and mitigating risks associated with project delivery.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key project milestones, risks, and financial status.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings across the project lifecycle.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale O&M contracts, ideally within the Water & Wastewater Infrastructure industry.
Proven track record in managing projects of at least $50M in value.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of contract management, project delivery, and quality assurance processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to proactively address challenges and identify innovative solutions.
Familiarity with relevant Australian regulations and standards in the Water & Wastewater sector.
PMP, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
