As a WTG Category Manager, you will oversee the entire procurement process and act as the primary liaison between the company and WTG/T&I suppliers, ensuring alignment with company policies and management directives. This role is responsible for safeguarding the company's interests across procurement activities and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, establish, implement, review, and audit standard procurement procedures, supply chain registers, and procurement management systems to ensure continuous efficiency and compliance.
Manage contract frameworks, oversee contract creation, and support negotiation, execution, and performance analysis to maximize financial and operational effectiveness.
Foster strong relationships with WTG/T&I suppliers, conducting market analysis to strategize and optimize supplier engagement.
Collaborate with corporate functions to align procurement negotiations with legal, technical, commercial, and financial objectives.
Organize and facilitate meetings with internal legal, engineering, and procurement teams, as well as external experts, vendors, and suppliers.
Provide procurement support across project development, construction, and asset management as needed.
Strategic Procurement & Category Management:
Ensure compliance with internal and external legal, technical, commercial, and financial standards.
Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential WTG/T&I OEMs to support project-level procurement needs.
Lead negotiations for supply and service agreements within the WTG/T&I category.
Monitor and report on market trends, pricing structures, and emerging opportunities for strategic procurement.
Manage all aspects of WTG/T&I category procurement, including pre-qualifications, tenders, framework agreements, and supplier evaluations.
Provide contractual support and coordination across various business functions as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a commercial, financial, technical, or legal field; a Master's degree in Purchasing Management is preferred.
8-15 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within offshore industrial contracts (e.g., TSA, EPCI, service agreements, FIDIC, LOGIC, Bare Boat, BIMCO).
Strong understanding of the offshore wind industry, procurement processes, and supplier landscape.
Expertise in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and supplier management.
Proven experience in handling high-value industrial contracts.
Strong leadership, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
