MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL SME CONSULTANT
Location: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand
A leading developer and operator of high-performance data centers with strong presence in the Asia Pacific region is rapidly expanding internationally and seeking for experienced Mechanical/Electrical SME consultants to join their team. These roles are critical within their global data center team, providing specialized expertise and support in mechanical and high-voltage systems across their facilities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Systems Management: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within data center facilities.
- High Voltage Systems Management: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of high voltage systems within data center facilities.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical and high voltage systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools and processes to continuously optimize the performance of mechanical and high voltage systems. Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices related to mechanical and high voltage systems. Develop and implement safe systems of work for HV operations.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response procedures for mechanical and high voltage incidents. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and minimize impact during emergencies.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage expertise and best practices in mechanical and high voltage systems. Share knowledge and provide training to enhance the overall competency of the organization.
- Global Remit: Support mechanical and high voltage operations across various regions, with a particular focus on APAC and wider territories. Adapt strategies and solutions to meet regional requirements and regulations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Over 10+ years' experience in mechanical and high voltage systems, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and high voltage design principles, installation practices, and maintenance procedures.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting complex mechanical and high voltage systems and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience in system monitoring and optimization, with proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in APAC and other global regions is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of regional regulatory requirements and operational challenges.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support global projects and initiatives.
