Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities, including HVAC, piping, and process systems.
- Develop engineering calculations, specifications, and detailed drawings to ensure system performance, safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and process engineers, to integrate mechanical designs into broader project solutions.
- Conduct field assessments and site visits to evaluate existing systems, troubleshoot issues, and support construction teams.
- Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in an industrial or design-build environment.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software for HVAC, piping, or process systems.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, NFPA, and applicable building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
