Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in water and wastewater engineering? We're seeking a motivated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead and support projects from planning to construction. This role involves working on a variety of water-related projects, including supply, treatment, storage, and distribution, as well as wastewater projects such as treatment plant studies, collection systems, pump stations, and mechanical piping systems.

Beyond project management, this role is key in fostering client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Develops project scopes, budgets, and contracts.

  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Assigns tasks and manages project teams, including subcontractors.

  • Leads project reviews and status meetings.

  • Mentors team members and provides performance feedback.

  • Implements quality control processes to ensure accuracy.

  • Assists clients in contractor selection and project bidding.

  • Oversees construction phases and field personnel.

  • Manages project invoicing and fee collection.

Technical Delivery

  • Uses engineering expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Leads major design tasks while adhering to federal, state, and local standards.

  • Reviews and seals engineering documents.

  • Communicates technical details with clients.

Business Development

  • Promotes company services to current and potential clients.

  • Engages in industry-related professional organizations.

  • Assists in marketing plans and proposal preparation.

  • Supports project opportunity assessments and sales initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (Master's preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.

  • Experience managing wastewater design and construction projects.

  • Ability to mentor and lead teams effectively.

Certifications & Requirements

  • Must have a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

  • Ability to obtain licensure in additional states is a plus.

  • Valid driver's license required for company-related travel.
