Location: Houston, TX
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-sized construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a remote position but will require some travel to job sites in Houston as well as occasional travel to the main office in Tyler, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure maximum profitability.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction activities.
- Hire, train, and supervise staff and contractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Provide regular updates to clients, stakeholders, and senior management on project progress.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Ensure all work is completed to the client's satisfaction and in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Experience overseeing 2-3 projects at a time.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
