Metro NYC Rail & Transit Project Executive
A premier general contractor in the New York metropolitan area is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and skilled Project Executive to join their team. The company has built a reputation for successfully delivering complex and large-scale public works projects for various governmental agencies, including NYCT, MTA, LIRR, SCA, NYCHA, and DASNY. Specializing in both interior rehabilitations and large-scale infrastructure construction, they also have extensive experience with Design-Build projects for agencies such as LIRR and NYCT.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple projects across New York City and Long Island, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead and supervise project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and consultants, to ensure quality and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including governmental agencies, unions, and other project partners.
- Ensure the implementation and adherence to safety protocols, labor regulations, and prevailing wage requirements on all projects.
- Provide leadership in the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects, including managing resources and addressing project challenges.
- Track and report on project progress, budgets, and schedules to senior management, identifying risks and implementing solutions as necessary.
- Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring and developing team members, ensuring consistent high-quality work on all projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Executive or Senior Project Manager in the construction industry, particularly in public works or municipal construction.
- Extensive knowledge of union and prevailing wage projects, with a track record of managing large, complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of New York City and Long Island construction codes, regulations, and governmental agency requirements.
- Experience in managing Design-Build projects is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs and circumstances.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
