Responsibilities:
- Assist with conceptual and planning tasks, including reviewing historical records, as-built, utility maps, zoning regulations, and feasibility assessments, as well as evaluating soil composition and geological data.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop complete construction packages (plans, specifications, and estimates) for site civil/land development projects, green infrastructure, grading and sewer/sanitary/storm water infrastructure using engineering design software such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist in the development of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) in accordance with NYCDEP and NYSDEC regulations.
- Utilize various design software, including ArcGIS for mapping and H&H programs such as HEC-RA, SWMM, and StormCAD, to evaluate and design stormwater management systems.
- Draft, review, and interpret technical reports, specifications, and analyses to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of New York and NYC stormwater management regulations.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, with the ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Ability to support multiple tasks and work collaboratively as part of a project team.
- Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
Certifications & Licenses (Preferred but not required):
- EIT/PE
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $90,000 - $125,000 per year (Base pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience).
