Technical Manager - Bridges
We are currently working closely with a leading engineering consultancy specializing in bridge design and construction. Due to recent project success, the company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Director to lead the Bridges team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bridge engineering, project management, and team leadership. This role involves overseeing the technical aspects of bridge projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, and driving business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and oversight for bridge design and construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Project Management: Lead and manage bridge projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering repeat business.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prepare bids, and contribute to marketing efforts to expand the company's portfolio.
- Team Management: Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in bridge engineering, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Professional Certification: Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional certification.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in bridge design software and project management tools.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of bridge design principles, construction methods, and industry regulations.
