With an existing pipeline of approximately 6.5 GW of solar and storage projects, the company anticipates 650 MW to reach Notice to Proceed (NTP) in Q1 2024, with additional capacity expected to achieve NTP throughout 2024-2025.

Job Scope of the Project Manager:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing safety, scope, schedule, cost, and quality for all assigned projects, acting as the liaison between internal stakeholders, utilities, system operators, regulatory entities, suppliers, and construction contractors. This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in energy storage, solar PV, transmission & distribution substation, or power generation project management, seeking an engaging position in the rapidly evolving energy storage and utility-scale PV industry.

- Assist the development team in preparing and reviewing CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates for solar and battery energy storage projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash flow, and reports required for the investment committee.
- Support the preparation of RFPs, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts with EPC contractors.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external partners, equipment suppliers, utilities, and project host communities.
EPC Project Execution:
- Deliver complex energy storage projects within approved budgets and schedules.
- Support strategic sourcing and manage the RFP/RFQ process for procuring engineering services, equipment, materials, and construction contracts.
- Perform bid evaluations with the project team, review terms and conditions, interface with legal, and lead contract negotiations.
- Lead weekly project meetings, maintain action items, prepare meeting minutes, review RFIs, manage risks and opportunities, forecast financials, mitigate risks and opportunities, track issues, perform change management, and document lessons learned.
- Develop project schedules to sequence and track project progress in coordination with selected EPC contractors.
- Perform change management through contract scope modifications and invoice approvals.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties, including management, project team members, utilities, AHJs, professional services, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers.
- Prepare and review project reports for management and maintain overall project schedules through regular updates.
Qualifications for Project Manager:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in engineering/project management within the energy storage, transmission & distribution substation, or power generation industry. Solar/Battery energy storage experience preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Suite (Office, Project, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Microsoft Project, SureTrak, Primavera P6, Phoenix Project Manager).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently when necessary.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Safety certifications and a clean track record.
- Prior experience in developing and maintaining written reports, operational metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Approximately 30% travel required.
