Job Summary
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget as a licensed PE.
- Prepare engineering reports, analyses, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works projects.
- Mentor less-experienced team members and contribute to their professional growth.
- Responsible for obtaining new business through business development activities.
- Ensure quality standards are met and maintain client satisfaction.
Job Duties
- Concurrently manage a variety of civil engineering Public Works projects.
- Track project scope, budgets, and schedules to ensure contract commitments and profitability.
- Conduct business development and create proposals and presentations.
- Effectively manage quality assurance and quality control.
- Use technical knowledge to prepare PS&E for transportation, storm drain, and water quality BMPs.
- Interface with clients on project coordination and design, ensuring quality standards and client satisfaction.
- Direct and mentor project engineers and design engineers on technical matters and procedures.
- Act as a technical resource to staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
- PE license in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering, specifically pertaining to Public Works projects.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience in Public Works projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team and direct reports.
- Experience in business development and strong relationships with local agencies.
- Proven track record and strong desire to provide superior client service and delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time within budget.
- Experience in staff management, mentoring, and resource management.
