We are currently partnering with a leading engineering and construction firm with a strong presence in Southeast Asia, specialising in Mechanical & Electrical works across various industries. Known for pioneering data center construction and extensive experience in factory projects, they're seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Commissioning Team Lead/Senior Engineer to join their team.
Position Overview
The Data Center Commissioning Team Lead/Senior Engineer will be overseeing the commissioning process for our data center projects, ensuring all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and maintained according to the operational requirements. This role involves leading a team of engineers, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Commissioning Projects: Manage the commissioning of data center projects from design through to operational readiness.
- Develop Commissioning Programs: Implement commissioning programs and procedures for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life safety systems.
- Coordinate Project Delivery: Work with architects, engineers, construction managers, and operations teams to streamline project delivery.
- Ensure Quality Control: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers in their professional development.
- Prepare Documentation: Review and prepare commissioning documentation, including test plans, reports, and O&M manuals.
- Collaborate with Clients: Understand client requirements and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Resolve issues that arise during the commissioning process.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center commissioning or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in commissioning software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
