Transport Modeller
We are currently working closely with a leading specialised Traffic & Transport Engineering consultancy who are expanding their team and looking for a Senior / Principal Transport Modeller. The company is a leader in its field and is committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to improve urban mobility and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement transport models to analyze traffic patterns, demand, and network performance.
- Conduct data collection, processing, and analysis to support transport modelling projects.
- Use software tools such as VISUM, VISSIM, CUBE, or similar for traffic simulation and forecasting.
- Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate transport models into broader planning initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in transport modelling and transportation planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transport modelling and traffic simulation.
- Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., AIMSUN, VISUM, VISSIM, CUBE).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in transportation planning or engineering.
- Experience with GIS and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices and policies.
