Our client, a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE) engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to join their team in Savannah, Georgia. With multiple offices, this firm offers a range of professional engineering services and is committed to community growth and development.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering and be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Georgia (PE in other states is a plus). Experience in working with Revit and BIM 360 on architecturally driven projects is essential. You will lead a design team on projects to successfully deliver structural engineering construction documents, so teamwork is a must. You will need the ability to delegate and manage tasks assigned to other team members. Excellent written and communication skills, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines are also required. You should possess excellent attention to detail in complex building components and a strong understanding of various building systems and materials. Experience with client communication and retention and a willingness to grow are also important.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Certification: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Georgia (PE in other states is a plus).
- Experience: Proficiency in Revit and BIM 360, with experience in architecturally driven projects.

A Day in the Life:
Every day, you will progress various projects through design, review, research, and coordination. You will work with project architects, consulting engineers, and contractors, and provide advice on design challenges. You will delegate tasks to staff engineers, develop their technical design skills, and help them understand how other disciplines impact structural design. You will provide feedback to help others grow.
Other Responsibilities:
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
- Resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines.
