Operations Manager

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will take a leadership role in overseeing day-to-day operations and managing a cross-functional operations team. The role involves driving strategic execution, coordinating projects, and ensuring operational excellence. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for successful project execution, ensuring outcomes meet expectations for quality, budget adherence, timeline, and client satisfaction.

  • Supervises field services, production partners, inventory operations, and general overhead costs.

  • Provides direction and mentorship to project management staff, while personally handling complex or high-risk initiatives.

  • Establishes and tracks performance metrics and key operational indicators.

  • Develops and maintains strategic operational roadmaps spanning short-term to long-range (1, 3, and 10 years).

  • Enhances business performance through continuous improvement of workflows, processes, and cross-departmental communication.

  • Oversees procurement activities, including vendor selection and contract negotiation, with a focus on cost control, quality, and timely delivery of essential materials.

  • Serves as a pivotal team leader, aligning project execution and operational initiatives with organizational objectives. Responsible for managing internal project timelines, staffing needs, and deliverables that support broader business strategies, in coordination with executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or business-related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations, engineering, or project management capacity.

  • Background in water, wastewater, or environmental systems is a strong plus.

  • Solid mechanical understanding; capable of interpreting technical schematics and specifications.

  • Experience managing technical documentation and data systems.

  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • History of successfully managing capital projects through all phases, from planning and design to implementation and commissioning.

  • Proven track record of leading operational improvements and process optimization.

  • Budget management experience, including cost control and margin enhancement via change management strategies.

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to implement strategies to enhance client experience.
