Mechanical Engineer- Wyomissing PA
We are looking for a motivated senior mechanical engineer is needed to join a machine design team and support high-profile clients in machine design and industrial applications. The role involves design-related activities such as performing calculations, sizing and selecting components/equipment, and developing detailed design documents including assembly and fabrication drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, be a self-starter who takes direction well, and be capable of leading a team of designers and junior engineers.
Education & Experience
Required:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- 8+ years of industry experience, such as working for an equipment manufacturer (OEM or supplier), industrial owner, or consulting firm in a machine design capacity.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor (and/or Solidworks).
- Demonstrated knowledge of graphical standards related to producing machine design drawings.
- Ability to perform designs, calculations, reports, equipment selections, and specifications.
- Detailed understanding of applicable codes and standards related to the design of machinery and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with various software suites such as MS Word, MS Office, Excel, Teams, Autodesk. Experience with FEA software is a plus.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineering licensure.
- Experience in mechanical machine design for, or within, the metals manufacturing industry.
