They win a range of unique, challenging repair and restoration projects and they are the prefered consultant for several important clients including municipal, educational, and healthcare facilities in Charlotte & Raleigh. They also take on commercial, mixed-use and multi-family residential projects which they oversee from the initial inspection up until the repair, working closely with adjustors and contractors to maintain and restore the integrity of the building envelope.
As a structural engineer you will be responsible for overseeing complex repair/restoration projects for various structures with a focus on the building envelope. You will design repairs for various building enclosure systems and be part of a multi disciplinary inspection and restoration group. It is an ongoing devlopment opportunity which offers support towards relevant credentials and a path to management if desired.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to develop effective remediation strategies.
- Undertake site visits and inspections to identify potential issues and hazards.
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
- Assist in the field review of existing structures.
- Meet with potential and current clients to communicate progress and solve issues.
- Perform project design, production of reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Perform project structural engineering analysis and design;
- Assist team during the evaluation phase, including field review of existing structures, writing reports, developing repair options, construction cost estimates;
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 4+ years of relevant experience with proven growth
- Professional Engineer in North Carolina
- Strong technical, written and verbal communication including strong people management skills and customer service focused.
