Role Overview:
They are seeking to hire for multiple positions in the company, a junior structural engineeras well as a licensed structural engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in the industry. You will be expected to manage project teams made up of BIM modellers, project managers, and project designers while exercising high-level project oversight. You will also be in charge of maintaining and expanding client connections and serve as the main point of contact for clients.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage project timetables, set project scopes of work, communicate with both present and future clients, and sign and seal your construction documents.
- Structural Design: Assist in the production of construction papers for these projects in compliance with corporate guidelines; provide precise, suitably detailed computations for structural systems made of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Structural Analysis and Investigation: Use information gathered and calculations to provide opinions regarding structural condition and viability of additions or renovations as directed by the client. Provide comprehensive, expertly written letters and reports documenting work. Visit project sites to field measure structure. Investigate existing construction to ascertain structural conditions.
- Software: Use engineering software to model structures as needed to complete the aforementioned tasks.
- Provide updates on project status to the project principals through reports.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in structural engineering, civil engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET accredited institution (Master of Science degree is a plus)
- Good communications and writing skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
