I am currently seeking an experienced engineer or geologists with experience in rock mechanics and rock slope analysis to join my clients team.
Developing design solutions for heavy civil projects in the Transportation, Municipal Water Wastewater and Industrial Site Development sector.
Duties:
- Organise and carry out underground explorations, spotting structural geological characteristics.
- Assess the stability of slopes in soil and rock formations.
- Connect the geological structure of a location to planned construction.
- Formulate design suggestions.
- Compile reports.
- Present analysis findings and recommendations to the design team both in writing and verbally.
- Travel to project sites when required.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Structural Geology.
- At least 7 years of applicable experience.
- Proficiency in Kinematic analysis and interpreting great circle and pole plots.
- Familiarity with Rock Science software like Swedge and RocTopple.
- Ability to tailor designs to meet the requirements of municipal owners and design-build contractors.
- Preference for certification as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist.
