Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, analysis, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. With 6-10 years of relevant experience, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background, project management capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and construction oversight of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations, and distribution systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and engineering analyses to evaluate project requirements and constraints.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and environmental specialists, to develop integrated solutions that address technical, economic, and environmental considerations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective outcomes.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals, permits, and compliance.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and field investigations to monitor project progress, address technical challenges, and ensure quality assurance and safety standards are met.
- Mentor junior staff, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and/or SewerCAD.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
