The Associate Principal Mechanical Engineer will work closely with clients, architects, and/or design team members as part of a dedicated and skilled team. Duties include the production of coordinated detailed design drawings, specifications, written reports, site observation reports, schedules etc. on a variety of projects.
What will I be doing?
Input to the projects is likely to be varied but will include the requirement to:
- Exceptional leadership of projects, individuals, teams and the group as a whole.
- Maintaining and developing the highest standards of technical quality; continuously developing the department through innovation and creativity.
- Project Director for appropriate group projects, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships.
- Enhance the group's technical delivery and provide proactive project leadership.
- Directing multiple projects across the group, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions while ensuring financial success.
- Maintaining relationships with existing clients and working to secure new work for the group.
- Mentoring and Coaching Colleagues - Associates, Senior Engineers and Engineers so that meaningful delegation can apply within the team.
What are we looking for?
As an experienced Associate Principal Mechanical Engineer, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening) and competent at presenting
- Extensive leadership experience within a MEP Engineering Consultancy
- Strong track record of project delivery in the commercial sector
- Typically, 12+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and HVAC experience
- Broad design knowledge, from working on a wide range of US and International Projects
- Bachelor and/or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ideal sector experience in Cultural projects, Labs, Commercial and Higher Education
- P.E, professional engineer.
- LEED AP accredited preferred.

What we offer:
- Salary range of $130,000 to $160,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
